No, the protocol is used only for device inclusion, allowing for quick and easy setup through the Shelly Smart Control app.

Additionally, Shelly devices can function as a BLE gateway, bridging Shelly BLU devices to your Wi-Fi network.
Is it possible to use the device without a hub?

What is the Shelly Gas Sensor PPM Threshold?
The gas alarm ppm thresholds are defined as follows:
Low Gas Concentration
PPM Threshold: 1800 ppm
When the concentration of gas in the environment reaches or exceeds 1800 ppm, the gas alarm will be triggered to indicate a low gas concentration.
High Gas Concentration
PPM Threshold: 3000 ppm
When the concentration of gas in the environment reaches or exceeds 3000 ppm, the gas alarm will be triggered to indicate a high gas concentration.
The thresholds cannot be modified.

WLAN integration not workingwith state of the art wlan setup
Decision for Shelly gas was because i was looking for a solid gas warning device which can be integrated using wlan into my smart home system. whenever i tried to connect it to my wlan it joined for seconds and immediately dropped out. digging into this issue i learned that i would need to configure my wlan and make many adjustments to accomodate this device, which is not an option for me. Now i am running it outside of my smart home setup and i’m a little bit disappointed. The software should be updated to make it compatible with wlan technology used these days.
