At this year’s IFA, Shelly is presenting the expansion of its smart home ecosystem. The focus is on new solutions for security, energy efficiency and building automation, the extension of the Gen4 and BLU-ZB product ranges, new partnerships with well-known companies and the growth of the “Powered by Shelly” program. For the first time, established German companies are also adopting Shelly technology. The overarching theme behind all of the new products is maximum flexibility, open standards and consistent user control over their own data.

Shelly Camera combines data protection with intelligent video monitoring

One highlight of the show is the new Shelly Camera. With this intelligent video monitoring camera, Shelly is entering the smart video monitoring segment for the first time.

Using cloud-based AI-supported features, the camera detects people, vehicles and pets and notifies users directly about what has been captured. At the same time, Shelly remains firmly committed to data protection: recordings can be stored locally, or alternatively in a cloud infrastructure located within the European Union. In addition, Footage stored in the Shelly Cloud is encrypted at rest, giving users maximum protection. Individually definable detection and exclusion zones as well as a privacy mode give users additional control.

More flexibility through new products and expanded connectivity

The existing product portfolio also continues to grow. New additions include the Shelly Wall Display X1i for central smart home control, the keyless LOQED Pure smart lock and numerous extensions to the Gen4 family, among them new relays, controllers and energy meters. The BLU-ZB series is likewise expanding with new motion, door and window sensors that combine Bluetooth and Zigbee in a single device. In addition, the smart Shelly BLU TRV radiator thermostat is receiving an update: a new gateway function will make it even more flexible to integrate into existing installations.

German companies join the partner network for the first time

A further milestone for Shelly is the continued expansion of its partner network. With Miele, WeWash, Hörmann and Rademacher, several established German companies are placing their trust in the smart home specialist’s technology for the first time.

With Miele, Shelly has gained one of the leading manufacturers of premium home appliances as a partner. The collaboration makes it possible to integrate smart Miele appliances such as washing machines, tumble dryers or dishwashers seamlessly into the Shelly Energy Management System (EMS) and to control them intelligently. End users benefit from a new function: instead of a fixed start time, they simply set the latest desired completion time. This is particularly worthwhile for users on a dynamic electricity tariff: via the connection to the power exchange, Shelly automatically determines the cheapest start time within the available window – depending on the current exchange electricity price.

WeWash, a wholly owned subsidiary of BSH Hausgeräte GmbH and thus part of the Bosch Group, established for more than ten years, is also relying on Shelly technology and will in future integrate devices such as the Shelly PRO 1PM, the Shelly PRO 3EM and the Shelly PRO Add-on into its so-called "WeWash Box" as intelligent control and energy metering units

Hörmann, Europe's leading supplier of doors, gates, frames and operators, puts its trust in Shelly X technology. Via a new "Powered by Shelly" gateway, mounted directly on the operator, selected Hörmann door solutions become part of the Shelly ecosystem. This makes garage doors, industrial doors and gate systems a fully integrated part of the connected building.

Rademacher is embracing the same concept. The German specialist for roller shutter and sun protection technology is developing a smart belt winder based on Shelly X. Replacing the existing manual mechanism in minutes and without rewiring, it delivers the three things homeowners want from automated shading: lower cooling costs in summer, added safety, and everyday comfort. All of it factory-fitted, with no extra Shelly modules behind switches or in the distribution board.

“Powered by Shelly” grows into a cross-manufacturer ecosystem

With “Powered by Shelly”, Shelly is expanding its role from smart home manufacturer to technology provider for the connected products of other companies. Partners can integrate Shelly technology directly into their own solutions and draw on the existing infrastructure of app, cloud, automations and smart home integrations.

Alongside the “Powered by Shelly” products from Hörmann and Rademacher mentioned above, Shelly is showcasing new partner products at IFA from the fields of e-mobility, photovoltaics, air quality measurement, lighting as well as building and access technology. The goal is an open ecosystem in which devices from different manufacturers can work together seamlessly.

Shelly Business Manager: Device-management platform

Shelly is expanding its B2B portfolio with additional SaaS products. Alongside its well-known smart home devices, Shelly already offers two in-house platforms for large-scale applications: Shelly Fleet Manager, which sets up, updates and controls large numbers of Shelly devices simultaneously, and the Solar Platform, presented at Intersolar, which centrally monitors and optimizes energy generation from both Shelly and third-party devices.

The new addition is the Shelly Business Manager. The platform is designed for companies that need to keep track of a fleet of devices across multiple locations. It brings all devices together in a single interface, making the status of the entire installation visible at a glance. A typical example is a supermarket chain with stores across the country: for each location, it is immediately clear how refrigeration, lighting and building technology are performing and where action is needed.

At the same time, the platform displays energy consumption and reports outages and potential faults immediately via alerts, so issues can be identified and resolved early. Predefined templates matched to the respective use case are available for setup, removing the need for time-consuming custom dashboard programming.

Shelly will give a first look at IFA Berlin and present the platform fully, including live demonstrations, at a webinar on 8 September.

Technology openness and data sovereignty as guiding principles

The innovations presented at IFA 2026 underline Shelly’s strategic direction: openness, interoperability and data sovereignty are at the heart of product development. Local control options, broad integration capabilities and European data protection standards run through the entire portfolio as a common thread. With the products and partnerships presented, Shelly is further reinforcing its ambition to shape an open and future-proof technology ecosystem for smart home, energy management and building automation.
