To make electrical installations not only smarter but above all safer, Shelly is presenting innovative smart miniature circuit breakers at Light + Building 2026. These combine preventive circuit protection with modern connectivity. The focus is on three new product series: the new Shelly Pro CB and the two compact versions, Shelly BLU MCB ZB and Shelly Wave MCB.
Shelly Pro CB
Shelly Pro CB is specifically designed for protecting and controlling larger-scale systems – making it ideal for extensive installations such as complex heating systems in smart homes or commercial environments. Installation is straightforward directly in the distribution board. During operation, the device impresses with flexibility and safety:
- Smart control: Users can switch the breaker remotely or via automation at any time.
- Manual safety: In case of overload or overvoltage, the breaker trips – it can only be reset manually on-site for safety reasons.
- Instant notification: Users get immediate alerts when the breaker trips or events occur, enabling rapid response to potential issues.
The device is available in 1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-pole models to satisfy every need. A key feature is the integrated current measurement, which monitors each phase individually for full transparency. Network integration is stable and flexible thanks to LAN and Wi-Fi connectivity.
Shelly Smart MCB
As a compact alternative, Shelly is also introducing Shelly BLU MCB ZB and Shelly Wave MCB. These miniature circuit breakers are also installed directly on the distribution board but are designed for smaller single applications. As a single-phase variant, they are ideal for protecting devices such as freezers or water pumps. Control follows a clear safety concept:
- Precise shutdown: The device can be turned off remotely or automatically to immediately cut power in an emergency.
- Manual activation: Switching back on is only possible manually on the device to ensure maximum safety.
- Real-time status: Users receive instant notifications whenever the breaker trips due to overload, allowing immediate action.
Integrated power measurement provides full transparency by recording consumption for each phase individually. For seamless smart home integration, the devices support two wireless standards:
- Shelly BLU MCB: Uses Bluetooth and Zigbee technology.
- Shelly Wave MCB: Uses the proven Z-Wave protocol
Monitor your energy flow both ways
Our new Smart MCBs feature bi-directional energy metering, allowing users to accurately monitor electricity flowing both to and from the grid. This means whether energy is being consumed by household loads or exported back from solar panels or batteries, the Smart MCB tracks it in real time, giving homeowners and businesses full visibility into their energy usage and efficiency.
