At IFA 2026, Shelly Group is showcasing the next stage of its smart home and building ecosystem, bringing together new products, expanded connectivity, open standards and a growing network of technology partners.
This year’s presence reflects Shelly’s focus on making smart spaces more flexible, interoperable and easier to manage - while giving users greater control over their devices and data. The portfolio expansion spans smart home control, security, energy management and connectivity, alongside significant developments in the “Powered by Shelly” ecosystem.
New products for smarter, more connected spaces
The IFA lineup introduces several new additions to the Shelly ecosystem, including Shelly Camera, the Shelly Wall Display X1i, LOQED Pure, and new devices across the Gen4 and BLU-ZB ranges. Together, they extend Shelly’s capabilities across security, smart control, energy efficiency and building automation.
The portfolio is further strengthened by the Shelly Wall Display Matter update, which enables compatible Wall Display models to function both as a Matter controller and Matter device. With firmware 2.8.0, users can add Matter devices from different manufacturers directly to the Wall Display while also exposing its own functions to ecosystems such as Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, SmartThings and Home Assistant.
ThreadLink: One radio, three ways to connect
Shelly is also unveiling ThreadLink, a new opt-in firmware for eligible Gen4 devices that turns their built-in Thread radio into a full IP network connection.
Rather than limiting Thread to Matter connectivity, ThreadLink enables Matter, Shelly Cloud and direct device-to-device communication to operate over the same Thread network. This opens new possibilities for local automation, remote management and interoperability - without requiring Wi-Fi connectivity on the device.
Growing the “Powered by Shelly” ecosystem
The IFA showcase also marks an important step in the expansion of “Powered by Shelly”, enabling manufacturers to integrate Shelly technology directly into their own products.
Among the latest developments are collaborations with Hörmann and Rademacher, bringing smart control to garage doors, gates and shading solutions. The open Shelly ecosystem allows these products to connect with the wider Shelly platform and other smart home and building management systems.
New partnerships with established German brands
Shelly is also expanding its technology partnerships with major German manufacturers. Miele, WeWash, Hörmann and Rademacher are adopting Shelly technology for applications ranging from intelligent energy management and appliance optimization to smart doors, gates and shared laundry facilities.
For example, the Shelly x Miele integration enables intelligent scheduling of selected appliances based on energy prices, while Shelly x WeWash combines smart control and precise energy metering for shared laundry environments.
One ecosystem, more possibilities
Across its IFA 2026 announcements, Shelly is reinforcing a consistent vision: smart technology should be open, interoperable and adaptable to different needs. From new devices and Matter and Thread developments to embedded Shelly technology and strategic partnerships, the ecosystem continues to expand beyond individual products toward a more connected approach to smart homes, buildings and energy management.
