Shelly and Alexa complement each other perfectly for a convenient, intelligent home. If you connect Shelly to Alexa, you get easy setup, smart routines and countless options.
With a simple voice command you can operate lights, sockets or your roller shutter control–no app or switch needed. In the Alexa Smart Home, Shelly devices adapt flexibly to daily life and can be remote-controlled.
To dim lights, switch devices or control shutters remotely, Shelly + Alexa gives you maximum control and comfort. Both communicate via your home network, so stable Wi-Fi is key. You’ll need:
The requirements to connect Shelly to Alexa are quickly met – integrating your Shelly devices into Alexa Smart Home takes only minutes.
First activate the Shelly Alexa Skill in the Alexa app so the system discovers compatible devices automatically; then link your Shelly account and start controlling them by voice.
1. Install the Shelly device and add it to the Shelly Smart Control app → Update firmware if prompted → Enable Cloud.
2. In Shelly Smart Control go to Integrations → Amazon Alexa, sign in and activate the “Shelly Cloud” Skill.
3. Alternatively: open the Alexa app, search “Shelly Cloud”, activate it and link your Shelly account.
4. Important: in the Shelly app, assign devices to rooms and use clear names so Alexa can find each device on a voice command.
5. Test it: “Alexa, turn on living-room light” / “Alexa, set blinds to 50 percent.”
6. Optional: create groups and routines to automate and remote-control multiple devices at once.
