Current transformers scale the large values of current to small, standardized values for measuring purposes. They provide a secondary current that is accurately proportional to the current flowing in its primary circuit. The current transformer presents a negligible load to the primary circuit.

The length of the CT clamp's cables is 60 cm.

Is it possible to use the device without a hub?

Yes, Shelly devices (except for Wave devices) operate independently without the need for a hub. They connect directly to your Wi-Fi network, and you can control them via the Shelly Smart Control app, web interface, or through integrations with platforms like Google Home, Alexa, Home Assistant and Samsung SmartThings.

Can I extend the cables from Shelly Add-On / CT transformers?

While it's technically possible to extend the cables, we advise against it to maintain precision and performance integrity.
