Yes, Shelly devices (except for Wave devices) operate independently without the need for a hub. They connect directly to your Wi-Fi network, and you can control them via the Shelly Smart Control app, web interface, or through integrations with platforms like Google Home, Alexa, Home Assistant and Samsung SmartThings.

No special tools are needed.

After installing your Shelly Wall Switch into the wall box, simply snap the Wall Frame 1 into place around the switch module.

Make sure the switch is securely mounted and level before attaching the frame for a flush fit.

It’s possible, but not recommended, since paint can affect the finish and durability. If you do paint it, use a plastic-friendly paint and apply lightly to avoid interfering with the frame’s fit.
